Hello all,
I am new here so I don't know if this has been done before, sorry if it has. I currently knee deep in a 40s dodge truck build so I am curious to see what others are doing with their dodges. I figured this would be a good thing to have them all in one place for easy reference. Thank you in advance

Cool thread :D

I'll kick it off with the first pic. This is my '49 that should be finished by now, but you know how these things go.

1940 Plymouth Pickup. Same as a Dodge except for the grille area. Worked on it during the winter and will get back at it in the fall.

Ok, here's my '46. The cab sits on a '72 chevy shortwide pickup chassis. Not planning on sectioning or chopping at this point. Gonna bob the rear- I don't have a bed or rear fenders, so I've sketched up what I've been thinking of doing so far.
The '72 is wider of course, but instead of swapping out the frontend I'm going to put a spacer between the fenders and the nose to get the fenders to fit down over the wheels. I figure that'll give a fatter look, too, the rear fenders I'm currently thinking of motorcycle-style fenders, maybe segmented.
I've got a few custom made saddle tanks for fuel tanks, but I also have an old-styl keg...
I'll probably hand make alot of the little stuff, taillights, and interior stuff. I have alot of stainless doodads and things to give it a bit of character. I made the box that the shifter sits in out of stainless scrap I scored off of a job site. The tubes that hold it in place are 3/4" EMT (electrical conduit).
Times are tough, so the budget bar is set pretty low- so far I think I'm up 80 bucks from parting out the Chevy body parts. Eventually, I'll have to spring for glass but for now I'm keeping spending down to hitting the wrecking yard once in a while....

Went riding around in my buddies Dodge after work today. (I have so got to hurry and finish my truck [dr ). Not sure of the year model but I do know he cut a good amount off the bottom of the truck and cut about 10" out of the center. It is one sweet ride.
