I have a 2008 Chevy 1500 truck. The factory bucket seat is a pain in the butt,on a long trip. The seats are not electric ,powered seats. Any body got any ideas for a more comfortable seat? I thought about having the same seat re-done with more padding, Or looking in the junk-yard for a better seat. How hard is it to hook up a electric seat? Does it have a bunch of wires or just a couple? Most of the better looking seats are electric. Any ideas?

One hot wire, one ground, that's it. The seat should have the harness from the switch to the motor. Just need to make sure to run a large enough hot wire, fused to about 30 amps. Those motors draw quite a bit of amps on startup.

You probably want to look for an upscale Silverado or Sierra seat, or maybe even one from a Caddy Escalade.

The factory buckets in my 2000 f150 are too stiff and feel like yer sitting on a beach ball.
I'm replacing them with some grey leather heated power landcruiser seats.
They have a very nice shape to them complimentary to a large framed man
