cool but some fail

IMHO
...Unfinshed project not worth 9 grand but still cool...[dr

*scuffed and shot, no bodywork or rust repair
*painted over dirt...rusty dirty suspension...underside not stripped and painted not even a powerwash and flat black
*looks like non-graded hardware bolting the engine mounts through the unibody rails with standard washers no reinforcements
*front axle...original fatigued springs and lift blocks...never use lift blocks on a front axle...never
*rear axle is a standard rotation car axle flipped and rotated backwards. under power the gearset is loading the backsides of the gears not the face. the gears are only working properly in reverse and the oil flow will be effected too.
*billybob traction bars
*Is that an oring chain or not? how will it keep it's lube?
It's gonna get hot. maybe a blower drive belt would have been better, has that ever been done?
*disc rear brakes and drum front?????

*Cost
From what is visible the person might have as much as $5k in this van but looking at the quality of the build you might want to assume the engine may have had a freshen up without any machine work or may have only been steamed off and painted.
it's possible guessing by the way certain things were rushed over and costs kept down in the work and by using cheap used parts like the small axle and 302 engine...this econoline prolly cost only around $2500-$4,000 to build if that.
Your work is only worth $50 an hour if it's good, I see a lot of cobble.
It might be worth 9k if it spent a weekend over at chip fooses' getting re-worked

Ye Gods! That's a classic? A 250 dollar wrinkled-up E-box with a dressed-up $100 junkyard engine, cobbled to a farm machinery drive system? Where does the "classic" part come in?
Offer them a grand, and put it out in front of an amusement park as a gate guardian.

I especially like the license plate on the drivers side floor that is tarred in covering a rust hole. That is the quality build that it is.
