Eliminators 2012

Great variety of cars. I thought Rods were a little thin on the ground this year.

Dirty rat, that's a 66 HD Holden runnin' a Holden 6 fitted out with what I think are a pair of Toyota superchargers. The Holden 6's have always performed well with a little tweaking, google 1972 Holden LJ Torana XU1. The HD would have left the factory with a 161 or 186CI 6 cylinder. GM didn't give us a V8 until '68 when we got either a 307 Chev with 'glide for our large sedans. You could only get a 327 in the HK GTS Monaro. On the next year model they dropped the 307 and went up to the 350 for the GTS. Holden was casting it's own 253CI V8 by now and the 308 was in the wings. Holden dropped the Chev V8 for their own after the HQ range, spanning from '71 to '74.

Cheers
Andrew

Nice rides. Thanks for posting. Sucks you guys have to run cycle fenders down there. I think the only thing a cycle fender looks good on is a cycle or a 30's MG race car[cl

I sure thought it was an Aussie Rambler. The body lines reminded me of the American I used to have.
