thanks guys... i am not even really sure of yr model 61? 62?

here are a few more detail shots...

the color is not original of course, and we will be painting a 2 tone blue upper half, and pearl white lower portion... inside needs some work too...

right now it looks like a rats nest more than a rat rod:eek:

an FE powered gasser would be MY plan, but the owner wants a slick little cruiser... here is a pic he shared with me for "inspiration"...

The grill tells me it's a 63.

I've owned several Falcons, but never a Falcon Ranchero. Always wanted one but never ran across one when I had extra cash & wanted a project. So I bought the next small/car truck on my want list.. a Dodge Rampage.. in early 2010. A short time later I was at the Lagrave swap meet in Ft. Worth and a guy had one for sale CHEAP that I could have drove home. Also had an Econoline pickup that was even cheaper. Probably should have bought both of them.

They're fun little cars. But I do know that the floors behind the seat and the under bed area are prone to rust on the trucklets. Can't wait to see the build!

Cool ranchero. Had a 60 Falcon a few years back. That little 144 3 speed had a lot of kick and got near 30 mpg all day long. Have fun...[cl

Love it I have a 63 and the grill is the same so I would say it is a 62 or 63.
Can't wait to see it going forward on the build.
