are those wheels/tires the ones ya are gonna run in it?

Later:cool:

I am a little undecided. I also have solid plain steel wheels and I am thinking of painting those black with a chrome trim ring. I will probably run those tires for a short time I have planes of buying some Wide white walls with either set of wheels. What do you think? Thanks for looking

After nice long 4 day weekend was able to get the car painted. Really happy with the way it turned out. Unbelievable how happy it makes you to be putting parts on for the final assembly.

Got the headers put back on the other night still need to wrap them. My Father is working on making some baffels. Currently looking for a new carb waiting to see if any deals pop up on ebay.

What kind of carb are you lookin for? I have a holley 650 vac sec with a fresh rebuild for sale

Love checking off things as they are completed for the last time. Electrical Check. My Father and a friend wired the whole car this weekend. Used speedway wiring harness and they said the kit is definitely the way to go. So nice to have every wire labeled at both ends your not constantly trying remember colors and which wire goes where. Ended up buying Holley carb and put that on and it runs well. Idles much nicer now that we have a carb that's functioning.

me personally, l really don't like white wall tires. to many cars any more with them. to me it was cool on the older cars, bet then every thing from model T's to hummers seem to have them. that is why l just go with the all black sidewall look.

Thanks for the input skull. I am pretty torn, white walls a very traditional is really the reason i am leaning towards them. I like to go down the road less traveled though.

Update...Been pretty busy lately, but was able to get couple of days off work to work on the car. Getting things buttoned up. Lots of little things now, things that when you look at it you wonder what you did for 4 hours.
Was able to take it for the first drive finally, ran into problems though found a trans leak which was an easy fix. Just had to tighten the clamp. Then it wouldn't start, loose wire was the culprit. Then broke a wheel bearing. Forgot to pack the wheel bearings when we assembled the front end 6 months ago, put all new bearings in and packed them this time. Was only able to run it a few miles but it made it.

Was able to work on attaching the removable top. Using snaps, and in the corners using these snaps that you have to turn to lock the snap in place. Work pretty good just time consuming to install. Floor was installed as well and secured down. Got some black carpet to put down. Looking at making a different firewall to trans. shroud. Thats about it for now.
