figuring installed height on leaf springs

I am building a 52 willys sw and am swapping from 4wd to 2wd. I was planning on using modern leaf springs on the rear such as s10 truck (I will probably use it to haul my restored canned ham camper). In the past I kind of guessed where to mount my springs and arched/ de-arched them to ride height. I know there should be a better way to get my ride height. I was wondering how others go about figuring out the proper mount location to get the right ride height?
