gas fumes

filler neck is in the trunk and the vent line is out in the front of the tank by the rear end, I get gas fumes inside the car, any sugestions

Use an unvented gas cap and get a charcoal canister from a relatively new emissions car and hook it to the gas tank vent line. You'll need a way to evacuate the canister. Run a hose to the air cleaner and use the engine vacuum to pull out the fumes.
