Hi everyone. Just wanted to say hello. I've been hanging around in here a few days, reading as much as possible. I have three old Scouts, and I WAS going to restore one out of the three, but now that the Rat Rod Bug has bitten me REAL HARD, I might just make a rat scout.

Kind of makes sense to me.

Its got a suitable frame. Rounded body corners. Simple design. Lots of rust.

I have two 1966's, and a 1970. My plan so far is to chop and channel, and attempt to make it look old school truck. I am thinking of extending the frame a foot or so in the front.

I have never built a ratrod before, but I got serious skills. I'm a second generation machinist, and a pretty decent welder. I've fabbed a bunch of stuff. Usually when I need something I make it. Oh, and I was a custom knifemaker for a while. Grew bored with it.
