hard top convertable chop

I have been really leaning towards doing my 46 ford pick up as a chopped hard top convertable any pics or ideas on how I can pull this off it is my first build.
I was thinking of doing a 3 or 4" chop and not having the top of the doors other then a short part of the front angle also will have the front windshield so I can attach the hard top to it.
On the back of the cab I was thinking of running a section of wood on the two sections of the roof and cab so I can have support as well as a way to attach the two sections.
