Doesn't look any worse than alot of the stuff that people started with on here.
And better than some.
So give with the details... Frame, engine, trans, ect.
Keep posting pics.
Torchie.
.....

I'm thinking chevy 350 with a granny low four speed .. and S10 rear end.
this will be a driver . heater and defrost and windshield wipers.
maybe even go with a/c ..
paint : farmall red .. wheels: five spoke wagon wheels dark blood red ?
I've got a sawmill .. thinking bed floor with osage orange wood.
exhaust:twin stacks with rain caps..
use a few cultivator shoes for a front bumper.
farmall H steering wheel. .. brass black powder pistol for a shifter.
biggest drum brakes i can find.
....
just a few things I'm thinking about.
getting excited .

That is FAR from rough, that cab looks real solid actually!

Looks like its going to make a great project!

actually .. it is pretty solid. the running boards will still hold Me up.
and i ain't so little .
the broken frame rail tweaked the cab a little . but looks like it'll straighten up with a square base to sit on.
still has the original window and door handles. windows still crank up and down .stiff .. but still working.
should have took an interior pic. everything still smooth and straight.
just a few bullet holes.
might even save a bullet hole or two . :)

Sounds cool.
I have always liked the front sheet metal on those trucks.
Torchie.

me too .. my grandads brother had one. about the same year i think.
course i was a small child then.
i may not be as style savvy as a lot of you guys on here.
but the cab and front end looks great to me. as is.
i really don't want to chop it . needs y'alls opinions .. wagon box bed .. fat fenders .. or flatbed ?... wonder what would look best.
my buddy says wagon box . wooden tailgate.
a zillion decisions to make.. I've never had so much fun dreaming.
.......
years ago .. i had a 67 chevy long bed .. short throw three on the tree.
327 .. 4barrel... straight pipes out the back. bone stock.
perfect body . no rust .. you can shoot me now for selling it.
kid needed braces .... (sigh)....
i loved that sound !! rack em off !!! lol...

Fat fenders, but if you can't find the International fenders then you should go a different route. I've seen too many people try to pass off other fenders and it just looks bad. That's my opinion though. My dad has a '41 International, love that truck!

What were you referring to as wagon wheels before? Do you mean artillery wheels or something else?

Thanks for the pic of the wheel, that's not at all what I was thinking. There are some good deals on brand new big billet wheels on eBay if that's what you're after.

I attached some more pics of that truck and some of a 38 Chevy. Those fenders I think are 38 Chevy (compare the attached pics), they actually match the look of the International front fenders pretty well. I've seen 39-47 Dodge and 47-55 Chevy rear fenders used and the shape is just wrong, to me. I know those aren't 46 rear fenders because it's ingrained in my memory what those look like now :p

I've got a bunch of photos of that International saved on my computer from a while back, I can send them to you if you want.

would love to see more pictures. the yellow truck is growing on me .
it looks more ..? correct ?

Greetings peabody! Looks like a great start. Don't know what part of the 'zarks you're in but I am about 50 miles north of St. Lou in Il. and I have a 6 ft. IH bed and fenders left from my 49 KB-1. Started with 2 beds, 6 ft IH and a 7 1/2 ft Knox. Used the Knox but still have the other, if you are close enough and are interested let me know.[;)

When I get a chance I'll send you all I have of that truck.

Yeah, the yellow truck is more correct body-wise, but not completely correct. The IH beds usually had horizontal ribs in the box sides and 2 supports under the bed rail, at least the Canadian ones did, like these trucks:

I like the cab-length boards on the IH's as it makes them unique. Hope that helps.
