I picked up a little hot rod that was really built in the 60s with a 43 cadillac engine in it today. It runs drives and stops on its own power.. Not driven it far yet but its a trip with a reversed 3 speed meaning 1st is where 3rd should be and 1st is where 3rd should be.. other than that.. im going to do patch panels and sell it,, but check it out
ANYONE WHO HAS INFO ON THIS ENGINE AND IF IT IS CONFIRMED IT IS A 43 CADILLAC I WOULD APPRECIATE THE CONFIRMED ID THANKS

Ok, interesting.. Turns out tomorrow i need to pull the numbers off the block located by the water pump. Seems if it is a legit 43 cadillac engine then that entire year cadillac never made cars only the m5 tanks so it really would be the engine out of a tank.
However this engine was made from i believe 37-43 so it could be one of those as well.

I had a M5A1 Stuart Tank with two of those in it and I bet it is a military version (they came in several tracked vehicles) because of the plug wire holders.
