OK.... will try to help you out....no problem

Looking at your photo without the rotor.... bump or turn the engine over until the high part of the dist. lobe is directly under the rub block of the points....that's when the points open.... slightly loosen the screws... see the slot near the point tips? that to put a small flate blade screw driver into... open or close the points until they are bout .016 to .018 gap... use a feeler gage to do this...used points 16 thousanths.. `18 thousanths on new points.. .... tighten screws while you keep that gap... turn it over to make sure the points open and close and you should be good to go....

Line up the high spot on the shaft on the small black plastic follower. (Red Arrows) Make sure its right at the highest point. Looks like a 6 cylinder distributor.

Loosed screw (green arrow) and open up the contacts between the points. You can use a screw driver placed in the small notches (also in green) and twist to open up the points.

Insert your feeler gauge between the point contacts (blue arrow) and tighten the screw.
