How much bolt can show on torsion bar stop?

Does anyone KNOW if 2" is too much bolt to stick out on a torsion bar stop? I'm talking about what sticks out and sets down onto the plate on the chassis. My stops came up just short, but if I clock them they'll line up with about a 2" reach over to the pad. The pad is circular.
