Thanks guys that helped alot:D

Dawg, the # on the heads are 3889883, (i think thats what it said it is kinda hard to read)

so what is the diference between the 307 and the 305?

How strong is the 307?

roughly how much HP and Torque do they put out?

307

307's are great engines for torque and reliability. I have one in my 60 biscayne w/ a 700r4. Gets great gas mileage. I put an RV torque cam, intake and quadrajet w/duals on her and runs nice and strong for the steet.:)

A 307 is basically a 283 bore with a 327 stroke and large journal crank. In stock form they weren't very impressive but are still a stouter engine than a 305. The 305 is a longer stroke engine and they seem to get good milage but were made out of pretty sorry material.
