I am not much of a fan of the deisle concept the motor is too bulky looking I am going for the cleaner ,simple bobber look...but we are on the same page with the engineering part of it ...here is one I found....looks like there may be a few out there wonder why no air cooled homemade inlines....

There are aircooled diesels, commonly used for stationary motors.
Deutz is one brand. I'm guessing you could remove the typical cooling fan and shroud to use on a bike.

Diesel is not my first choice either, personal preference.

morn n, they do tend to be bulky, noisy, and stinky. the few air cooled scooters ive seen have been a bit under powered for what i would like to end up with. have a deutz in a welder, good engine but pretty size large. at one point i had thought about a side hack and it would give me more places to hide things, but i m not at that point in life yet.. i like the leading link front end he built.
the honda powered scooter is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. very talented fella. i by no means have near the talent or funds.. gw

Haha....noisy stinky bulky some girls like that. But wouldnt a 750 honda or 900 kawi powerplant be enough power for ya ...they said that deisle only had a top speed of 60 mph and about 40 hp think a souped up honda could top that.

think n they also like deep fried twinkies and ho ho s. but not go n there.
dont know anything for fact, but i m think n 120 plus , 120-130 hp with 240-280 torque. along with the mpg and just d i f f e r e n t..

shaft drive honda motor picks

81 cb900 shaft drive looks like it has the angle drive attached.
