im new to bikes and im thinking about picking up a 1957 ironhead. the owner says the last time he started the bike oil started to come out of the breathers, he says its from sitting for so long. what else could it be caused by?

what do you guys think???
could it be caused from sitting or is there a bigger internal problem?
any info would be helpful
Thanks

its called sumping , if it has sat for a bit the oil does not get pumped back into the oil bucket and fills your crank. there for when you go to start it, the extra oil will come out your vent tube. this will only happen if you leave the bike sitting for any lengh of time. it sounds like this is what is happening, no problem, its normal.
