I'm a welding and fabrication teacher, an AWS certified welding educator, an AMI certified Motorcycle mechanic and a traveler. I ended up here after searching for a home for our class project after it got deleted for being Rat Rod Drama on another forum. It has taken me a while to calm down enough to start a new thread (over a year). Our car is a 1917 Studebaker touring car. This car has been built by several of my students over the last 5 or6 years. We work on it when we have extra time and I have good students. This year I have several good students that are excited about seeing it finished so we are making pretty good progress.

My 53 chevy it is on a Monte Carlo frame with bags, it was built by some guys up in Minnesota.

Hope to see a build thread on your rat rod, definitely not a forbidden term here!!!

Welcome from Harrodsburg. RRR is a great site and it is rated G. No matter what the age of your students their parents won't mind them being on this site.

Thanks for the warm welcome, I plan on starting a build thread shortly. I need to get my original pictures scanned so you can see what we started with. I've been reading on here for a while so I'm sure we'll be a good fit.
