This weekend

This is me right before leaving for the NCO of the Year board. I could not resist taking a photo in front of my old truck. Funny thing is I never even got a photo taken with my wife I am sure she made a mental note of that. I did win the NCO of the Year for my Battalion, now on the the Brigrade Board.

Funny.....didn't have any of those awards when I was in...wouldn't have won it anyway..... once told my CO....." With all due respect sir....you don't have a clue so let me do my job"....he did, .....God took an active part...I'm still here.......

It took 3 deployments to places I wish no one would have to ever to go again to get some of those, others don't mean all that much. The only award any soldier needs is the one that you get for putting your life on the line for your country. Thank you for your service and as an enlisted man I understand about officers. Sometimes you can get a good LT to develop into a better CO, it is rare, but thats why NCO's really run the military. Thanks again!
