M-1 in 1931

Here is a pic of the first paved road in the U.S. It's Woodward Ave. in Detroit Mich., designated M-1 for being the first.

Well - it's like who really has Billie the Kids body - found another reference to Pemaquid, Maine that had the first paved road in 1625 - so who knows? Maybe it's in the material that they used to pave the roads with.
