Thanks. It was just a matter of proportions for the truck. It was gonna look ugly chopped if I kept the long bed. Which no way will I get rid of it. I love the bed on my truck. The original bed was rotted along the sides as it sat under a tree and was filled with leaves and crap. The bed on there now was one I found a few hours away that was in very good condition. The odds of finding another was not good so the fact I did.... for sure keeping it.
As far as progress, none. Gotta buy a new welder. Up to this point, been using a little Lincoln with shielded wire. Simply to tack all the critical parts up. Some welds I completed with it but they are not suspension or drivetrain related so should be strong enough. Will buy a good mig with gas setup so I can finish boxing the frame and get the drivetrain going on it.
