Ok I just pulled 7 of the 10 ply leaf springs off of my rear axle. It's a stock frame and suspension on a 34 chevy flat bed. The bracket of the main bearing is now tilted up insetead of straight like it was. My truck has dropped about 5 inches. How much play room do these things normally have?

The angle of the rearend pinion should be at the same angle as the transmissions output shaft, only in the opposite direction.
Example: if the transmission output shaft is at 3 deg, down then the rearend pinion should be at 3 deg. up.
Within +/- 1 deg. of each other and vehicle sitting at ride height.
