Here's some inspiration BigIrish. These were taken at the Goodyguys show in Charlotte last year]

Man that is sweet! Lot of work into that one.

I decided I didn't like the door openings so changed them. Looks a little more "racer" and little less "Santa's sleigh" now I think. Before & after...

I like a wood floor so got some nice hardwood plywood. Going to paint it with an heavy duty enamel, like you would use on a porch.

Kickboard took awhile to get the angle right and allow for enough pedal movement. Also got my speedway alum gas tank. The top 1/3 or so will poke out of the bodywork.

A little more progress. Got the cowl sheetmetal on. Started to put the sheetmetal on the sides, but then realized I'd better make a seat first....

I'm using posterboard to make my sheetmetal templates.

....so I built a simple bench seat tonight. It turned out pretty good I think. I'll cover the wood bottom with foam and some kind of fabric.

Yeah I'm still thinking about how to make it comfortable. Ill probably end up padding the backrest somehow and may drill some holes in it for ventillation.

I'm only going to be taking short cruises around the hood with it though, so comfort isn't a huge issue. I'm not getting anywhere near a highway with 40 hp and mechanical brakes.

Wheels!

Got the old house paint and rust blasted off my wheels yesterday. One of the rims was pretty rusted out but was able to weld some more metal from the inside and save it.

Weather cleared up so got em all primed and painted. Got some new rubber on the way so I'll be rollin soon....

Starting to look like something now! Got my new tires on, fuel pump and fuel line in and a bunch more sheetmetal work done.

Just need to fab the panel around the tank and make a hood. New carb is supposed to be in next week....getting close to taking a ride!
