I found a guy that deals in model a parts and he has a few wishbones that he said he'd sell but i was wondering if they were strong enough to support the weight of a v8 when split. they look smaller than the one i have from a 41 ford coupe. I don't really need them now but would like to have them for a future build.

Yes they are plenty strong and I have used them before, as well as on my current '29 roadster project. Be aware that different year Ford axles have different perch boss sizes though, some are 2" and some are 2 1/4". Your bones have to match the axle you are using...

thanks for the reply, i knew about the perch boss being different but i think i read they make spacers if you have the 2 1/4 inch radius rods and a 2 inch axle. I finally got to the guys shop and he has probably 50 model a wishbones and some off the newer 40's fords so I'll pick a few up for future projects.
