muffler extensions

I'm running the exhaust outside the frame under the cab. I'm putting a 26" extension slip over muffler on the tailpipe. I have a bracket mounted to the end of the pipe just before the muffler. I'm thinking it should be ok without a bracket on the muffler. Any thoughts? It's the Speedway muffler used on T-buckets.

These muffler extensions have been hanging off the headers with no additional brackets for 10 years with no problems.

Thx bob w. Those are the same style headers and mufflers I'm running. I just used some elbows and extension pipe to run under the cab and out the back.
