I'm starting a new thread with my build now that I'm past the challenges and
have come upon new challenges I have questions with.
I now will be cutting the headers I have and welding something custom up
that will not interfere with my steering. Unfortunately, the steering ended
up being in the way of the headers coming directly outward. I will not be
changing the steering since I FINALLY got it working good. I'm thinking my
best bet is to come out and diagonally up over the steering, just like the
rat rod has done in the attached pic. I do not want to run exhaust out under
the truck, so I think this is probably my only option (and I do like the look
anyway).
Also, any recommendations on making some budget seats? Since I lowered
the cab on the frame, I do not have too much leg room from the bottom
of the steering wheel. It's looking like I will need a seat that is almost flat
in order to sit as low to the floor as possible, right?
These are the next steps, but will definitely need more advice on other
steps.
Thanks for any help!
