My 55 gasser

My gasser. I'm doing a full custom frame with sleeved out front clip. drivetrain will be a big block chevy with a tunnel ram and two fours pushing around 600 hp followed by a muncie four speed. 10 in wide cheaters in the back and a full cage.

What front axle, springs and disk brake setup did you use ?
I like the frame you built.
Are you gonna leave the rear fender wells stock or radius them. Stock I hope.

The front axle setup is a 48-54 chevy truck axle with speedways disc brake kit and superslide springs from speedway. Actually if you look close the rear quarters are already radiused. We just did it a little different so that the side trim could be used without cutting it. What we did was used the lip from a set of front fenders so that the radius matches the front wheel wells and the lip goes just under the side trim.

Some new shots of it. Got the suspension all tacked up and motor mounts tacked up. Motor mounts still need a little cleaning up and final welding, but I did something different on this one than what we normally do. Forgot to mention, my buddy who's building my big block hasn't had time to work on it lately since he's squeezing it in on the side of everything else he's doing, so I'm gonna go with a small block 355 with a 400 turbo trans that I have in one of my other cars for now, just so I can get it on the road this summer.

Updates! Got it painted and cleared tonight.

Later this week I will do some more shots of it out in the sun. The colors are metallic burnt orange and black. Ladder bars are about 72 inches long and mount up about where the trans crossmember is.
