Thanks for all the input on the gauges. I've decided to go with more of a stock look and have some ideas using the aftermarket gauges that I have already, so i'll be posting some pics as I get those together.

Got a bit more done today. The chop is finished except for a little welding inside the cab. I started filling holes in the firewall and decided that I didn't care for the lip on the firewall so I cut it off!! What do you guys think?

Thanks for the compliments, it helps to know people like what your doing. I like the mail slot back windows too but im building this to drive every day and i think the larger back window is more practical for me. The back window is now exactly the same size as the side windows which is nine inches tall!

That cab is looking awesome, chop turned out real well and stuff always looks cool in the bare metal! What are your plans for finish, paint ,primer or leave it bare? As far as the gauges I would go with the more stock looking stuff. too many of those alu street rod panels and round gauges out there. I like the some of the old original speedometers and gauges a lot cooler then the new stuff. Just my opinion tho.

Here is what I did on the rockers where I cut them off. They was about 5 inches tall now there only 2 1/4! I used 5/8x1/8 pipe bent to fit the contour of the rocker. The green cab is not mine just a pic to show what the original rockers looked like. Of coarse the ends are not done in the pics!
