They were produced from 1953-1966.

The "first generation" nailheads were 264 and 322 in displacement and produced from 1953-1956. The "second generation" were 364, 401 and 425 in displacement and produced from 1957-1966.

This one is so ugly it's cool! The green paint say's it all!! :D

Dirt colored!

Boy, I'm glad you went with the red.

My buddy had a 64 Electra 225 with the 425 and it was blue.

I ran the Nailhead contest to get ideas & the winner was that color with black headers... looked awesome (to me at least). Mine was a 425 out of a '66 LeSabre... it wasn't green or blue... it was greasy dirt colored at least a 1/2" thick!!! :eek::eek::eek:
