A 6-53 into a 55 Chevy sounds like a neat project! One of my good friends stuffed a 6BT Cummins with a 5 speed into a 1960 Cadillac.

They used to put them in small charter boats before the lighter high power cummins,cats,etc came along in the 1980`s.
