Hi guys
I'm building a rat here in Copenhagen.

It's the remains of a 1930 Fordor model A.
I've cut it down to a pick - up.
Cab is almost done, only missing glasing and filling roof.
Frame ( Model A ) is about to be stretched app. 14".
Front suspension will be set up with spring behind axle.
"Power" :p will be supplied by a 1949 inline 8 Pontiac with a Hydramatic box.
Rear axel is a bit exotic ;) it's from a 1957 Vauxhall Victor (Use what you find, steal or buy cheap . . . . . in that order ;) )

Welcome to the site. Sounds like a nice rat. I really like the straight 8. I am guessing you are beafing up the old frame to take the stretch and motor weight? Post up some pictures when you get a chance, I would sure like to see what you got.

Welcome to RRR Niels. Like the sound of what your doing. Like Bonehead I like the Straight 8. Other that the frame, will that Vuxhall rear stand up to the 8 ?
And post some pictures of your progress when you get the chance.

Welcome to "here" ...

Welcome to the site..
Sounds like a cool build, especially the straight 8 and hydro.

Hi All

Thanks for your interest.
I will post some pictures i due time.
Right now parts are scattered all over Copenhagen.
I'm building it in a basement, 10 feet below street level.
So i'm building it in parts, and will assemble it up on the street when I'm done:D
Here is the backside of the cab:

Answers to questions above in tread:)
The frame is right now beeing stretched, and boxed.
"Old Chief" should be putting out somewhere around 100hp and the rear axle was standard in a 130 hp car

Love to browse this site
