Nice truck. I love the fact that you only have $1,230 in it..

Speaking of 19" tires.. Where do you get some 19" tires without spending $200 a piece? There has to be something out there at a tractor store or something?

Im not sure how i feel about motorcycle tires. Kinda scares me that only about an inch actually touches the road. Imagine breaking with the weight of a 454. Motorcycle tires can get expensive quick too.

Making good progress lately. Got an aluminum '65 Stang radiator for $150, fits nicely in the '34 plymouth grill shell. Picked up the 19" tires and painted my spokes. Made big progress on the dash, about 20hours into it so far.

enjoy

Final assembly!!!! bout friggin time.
Heres my frame 8" Z in front, 18" Z out back. Finally got my spring/front suspension squared away. Purchased a spring through speedway.

Im running stainless steel brake lines, copper fuel lines, and aluminum transmission lines, all neatly P-clamped to the frame.

Took the truck out for its first real show today, Syracuse Nationals. Got into the ol skool round up(barely) and won the trophy for "worst rat rod" First time out, came home with a trophy. Not too shabby.

After a disappointing car show earlier this summer, and an even more dissapointing run on ebay, I guess i got sick of seeing flatblack.

looks good either way. I like it but that rear suspension is kinda sketchy. Just my $.02

rear suspension is not the same now as it was in the "bare frame" pictures. Yeah, lets just say that setup didnt pan out like i planned. It got some good traction though, too much and actually lifted the rear end of the frame up and spit out the coils. But hey, thats why we test these things!

Im running a more traditional "truck arm suspension" now, works great

haha! Thats funny. We have all tried somethings that didn't work out quite the way we planned.....[S
