Bought a Steyr straight pull carbine yesterday. Milsurp gun last issued around ww2. 8x62R caliber. I don't have it home yet and did some research finding out that the stripper clips (called en bloc) are actually part of the magazine. So I'll need to get some of those before I can shoot it.

8x56r are fairly easy to find parts and ammo gotta love them old gun I keep buying diffrent ones lol

Me too, I love the old milsurp gins, have 3 sporterized Mausers now, 2 of the 7x57 and a 6.5x55. Planning on a Mosin sometime soon and an Arisaka the next time I stumble across one.
