ol' school shocks

im thinking about using the orig lever action friction shocks off my 46ford, and mounting them to my front wishbones. Im assuming that the best place to connect the levers to the 'bones would be as far forward as possible. Any reason this wouldnt work? How do you guys with suicide front ends mount your shocks.

Those should work fine. There are places that rebuild them, kinda pricey. Just make sure they are full of oil.

I've used the lever shocks and they worked great.....................Here's a little trick, replace the oil in the shock with motorcycle fork oil. M/C shops sell small bottles of oil in many different weights, light oils (10-15) seem to work pretty good. Just keep trying oils 'till you find the ride you like.
