Whats up guys...I am putting a straight axle back in my 49 f100. The front frame section will be Z'ed 6" what do you think of just going back to the parallel leaf spring set up. I will be driving it a lot to work in the summer so I think it will handle better. I was going to go suicide or quarter elliptic.I have some good set up tips for those style for my perch style axle. I just don't know how it will handle on the freeway? What do you guys think. I know the parallel spring set up does not look the best, but should I give up handling for looks. This is my first build.

First off is it going to be fenderless? I'm assuming so anyway. I'd go with the dropped axle, four bar or radius rods. For steering maybe go with a cross steer setup, helps avoid bump steer. The other guys on here will give you good advice also, alot of experiance on this board. Good luck with your build.:)
