Well here's the pics of the 37 Chevy truck I just bought and plan on re-doing this winter. Anyone have any thoughts about what I could do with this ugly 2x4 front? I want to see the whole grill or most of it and want to keep the straight axle and air bags. Was thinking about somehow running support down under the grill from side to side so it does the same as what it is now but then where would I move the air bags? Hey give me some ideas please. Oh yeah,,,,,shock also have to go on.

You could make a new crossmember behind the bags and lower than that 2x4, possibly a round one, then mount the bags with mounts that arch up and forward to the bags, kinda like suicide spring mounts. That would look less clunky - it must be really springy without shocks !! Friction shocks would be the easiest to mount, otherwise just grab a normal shock and try various positions to see what will work...
