postal jeep thoughts

i have been looking at the jeep threads and got this vision rolling around in my head. i was wondering what other people might think of this. please be kind of my drawing. i have never claimed to be an artist!! does anyone know if they're pre '73 ones too? i thought about using the flat fender type front end too. if someone could photoshop one to look like the drawing, that would be way cool.

I really like that jeep and it got me thinking about building one. And my one freind is into jeeps and got a lot of bodies laying around.

Last week I hauled a car to the crusher and there was a Commando setting on top of the pile. I have also seen a postal jeep there too.
Gave me the Willys, made me want to go postal.

I liked it until I saw the mailbox. If that was a conventional air cleaner of some sort it would be just right. Just my opinion.

Haven't you heard the term..."haulin the mail"....???..
when I was kid some of the racers around my town painted up the metal paper box that was mounted near the mail box and put it on the hood as a scoop.....it was the big deal them....then they started to make them out of plastic.....didn't hold up so well....

Ya, I thought it was a little over the top myself, then I met the guy that built it and turns out he lives about 5 miles from me and I had heard of him and some odd stories. After meeting him I know why I hadn't met him before.
I was more interested in the motor package as it is what I have planned for my 37.
