A hidden reserve won't slow me down from bidding on something. Seems to me though, hidden reserve usually means way over priced. Kinda like the guy on CL that doesn't put a price and then asks you what it's worth to you when you call.

What really is the hidden reserve good for anyhow? Except to let the seller know what others think it's worth. This guy didn't catch on.
 
Hidden reserve means they think it's worth too much. I probably spend more hours a day on gunbroker than anywhere else and I have yet to see a gun with hidden reserve actually sell. What's the point in making people bid numbers that don't mean anything?
