I was cleaning up my shop today and had to move one of a dozen or so axle stands that I have. I made a modification to a pair a few years ago and thought that some of the Guys or Gals on here might benefit from this idea. It's really simple just a piece of 1/8" plate welded to the bottom of the stand. It sure saves some time looking for something to prevent sinking in soft dirt or gravel.

Not only do they sink in dirt....asphalt doesn't like those thin feet, either!:D

Regards,
Shea:)

Especially in the heat. I parked my motorcycle on my driveway back in the day, and you KNOW the kickstand sunk in. Found the scooter laying on the handle grip and a footpeg. Could have been ugly, but no damage, thank goodness.
