If this subject is already covered, will the mods please move this to the right place.


I was cleaning up my shop today and had to move one of a dozen or so axle stands that I have. I made a modification to a pair a few years ago and thought that some of the Guys or Gals on here might benefit from this idea. It's really simple just a piece of 1/8" plate welded to the bottom of the stand.It sure saves some time looking for something to prevent sinking in soft dirt or gravel.

That's a good one. Gonna have to do that on mine. And you got this in the right forum, BTW....Not that I'm a "MOD," Just an interested spectator!

Not only do they sink in dirt....asphalt doesn't like those thin feet, either!

Especially in the heat. I parked my motorcycle on my driveway back in the day, and you KNOW the kickstand sunk in. Found the scooter laying on the handle grip and a footpeg. Could have been ugly, but no damage, thank goodness.
