I don't know about ants but in Alabama we have mud dobers that build everywhere. Inside wheels in air cleaner you name it. I've had them stop up oxy/act hoses that were not hooked up. Throwing a wheel out of balance wouldn't be out of the question. Never heard of automotive insecticide though.

We have them bad here in Texas. 1st year I was out here in the boonies they took over my shop. Had to knocked off about 50 lbs of mud nests. Now I fight them with a flying insect spray! It really helps if you keep them down right as they start up in the Spring & don't let them get a foothold! I crack the door & wait for them...if they get thick I use a spray can in both hands! :D[ddd:eek:
