I have a SW green line tach I am trying to wire.

It has a sender/ sensor/ or module? on the back that is gold in color
it is marked + and - at the screw terminals.

I hooked the + and - to the coil + and - and the tach works.
But when I mount the tach it grounds itself and the engine will not start.

If I isolate/insulate the tach housing from the mounting bracket the tach works but the light will not light. The light needs grounded because it only has one wire to the bulb and relies on the tach housing to be grounded.

Anybody know how to wire one of these tachs? This tach is one of those collector tachs from an early Yenko Camaro. I like the looks of it. But I am about to unload it and get something else. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks
Don
