Great looking old buick those are cool cars. So what are the plans for it?

gonna rat rod, stretch, pull, twist, every part that I can. Santa (my wife) asked what I want for Christmas and I said stuff for the car... Welder, sheetmetal, leading tools. No bondo going into this car, Im gonna try and teach myself to lead. Leading seems like the only permenant way to do it, and just better all the way around.

I unfortunately dont have anyone to learn lead from either. Gonna be trial and error. Luckaly there are a few videos on the web about it.

I did lead for the first time on my Olds. Way easier than plastic filler in my opinion. Sanding Bondo is right up there with finishing drywall in my book. Next time I will go with the leadless soldier, so I don't have to worry about health hazards and I can comfortably finish sand it. No 'beat the clock' or 'unhardened' nightmares either, just keep working it until you get it where you want.

Bought a kit from Eastman's and used a propane torch. There was a DVD of tutorials and tips, and I also found some info on the net. I thought it was easy to pick up. Definitely give it a try!

I got quite a bit done today...

I know I probably did a no-no by painting over chrome... The side chrome is spotless but the front pieces are pitted really bad. Sanded the grill piece down, 4 coats of white primer, 4 coats of florecent green.
