I'm working on getting my whitewalls on the ford wires i bought so i can start some mock up/inspiration for my build and since i have never mounted tube tires I am asking for tips. The tires i have are already on wheels with tubes but i think it would be better to buy new tubes while i do this wheel change just to know i have new tubes in there.

Let me in on some tricks or tips if there are any.

Coat the tubes with talcum powder before you install them. It will help them inflate uniformly inside the tires and avoid pinching or creasing, which can cause a hole over time.

i worked in a tire shop for a few yrs, the boys are right on, make sure the rim is clean and rust free, use a liner to protect the tube from the spokes and tire talc, (talcum powder) is a must, and lube the beads before you install them.....

oh ya make sure the valve is sticking straight out the hole in the rim, not at an angle, which may cause a leak later on.........

good luck
