Hello all you fellow members...
After being referred here by "Bonehead"
I have only had a Short couple of days to look around tha Site...
But seem to be interested in being a Part of what is goin on here!
A ton of Great Knowledge, ton of Advice from People who Eat, Breath,
& Live tha Rat Rod Scene...
I mean.... WHat more could I ask For? I'm lookin forward to getting to know you guys, and develop friendships wherever possible...
A lil' bout me...
I took a notice to "Rat Rods" a few years back...
Decided to do a Rat Rod Themed build to my own Liking on a Truck that
I had @ tha Time...
It was a 1979 Datsun Bulletside....
bought for only $450....
what did I have to Lose??
I spent over 950 Hours customizing this Truck....
which took me around 2 yrs to finish...
I will Include a Couple of Pics of tha Datsun...
along with a couple of tha 31' Ford
After enjoying tha truck for a Couple years after tha Build I came to A conclusion one day that, I was ready to take on something new...
In my head, I held a Goal to get tha Truck into a Magazine....after achieving this Last December in Street Trucks Magazine.... I was ready to trade up... or sell to tha Right Owner...
So my Search Began...
One day I came Across a 1931 Ford Model A Pickup that popped up on the Internet out of Lancaster, CA
A call was made and immediately a deal was struck with tha Owner, who was looking to Trade for a Wild Ratted Rod that was finished and Driveable...
Knowing that tha' 31' was a LONG way from being Driveable... I felt it was a Fun Challenge to take on.... and I've always wanted to CUT, CHOP, and Weld on some Good Ol' Vintage American IRON!!!
So.....
I plan to start a Build Thread tonight, showing my Progress on tha Truck, and bring everybody up to Date on where tha Build is at now....
I'm Looking forward to hearing everyone's opinions, and am open to any ideas, or advice that you all have!!!
Thanks......
