In 2009 Elton John heard Leon Russell was ill & down on his luck & help him get his life back together. They recorded an album together... 'The Union'! I was happy to see him make a comeback. Them piano players stick together! RIP!!!

Leon Russell was a mentor and an inspiration to Elton John. I had the good fortune to see Leon a few times over the last few years. He played this tiny place in Norfolk Connecticut call "Infinity Hall". It seats maybe 200 people. It has the most amazing acoustics. Built in 1883 as an opera house, barber shop and saloon. I Highly recommend seeing a show there.
