Instead of going to that time and effort why not just buy some dropped springs and/or coils. My truck has 2 inch spindles and 1" coils.

You could save the expence of a compressor and go with nitrogen tank(s) and rent the bottles and not have to wait for your compressor to fill your tank between uses. You could buy your fittings and hose from a local tractor trailer shop, and buy your bags from the bag supplier of your choice...

I've got a Lincoln weld pak 100 (110V) love it. I personally find no fault with flux, but true that using gas is cleaner. Mine can be upgraded to use gas and probably will down the road. Home Depot has some good deals on the Lincolns, get one that can be upgraded for gas. IMO money well spent.
