Georgia Title
Yeah, Georgia won't give a title on cars after they reach a certain age. I bought a 1967 car in Georgia with a Bill of Sale and brought it back to Texas where the Bill of Sale was not accepted by Texas DMV.
I had to write the Georgia DMV for a "Letter of Verification" to verify...
Welding help
Since I don't know much about welding ;and I'm in the market for my first welder, I'll be doing the self teach thing (trial and error). I'll probably be asking you some questions.
By the way, what part of Texas do you live? I'm in the North Houston area.
And welcome to Rat...
Kegs on eBay
Yeah, I've seen beer kegs on eBay every so often. The last one I kept an eye on went for around $60.00 and looked to be in pretty good condition.
I also would like to know the best way to turn one into a gas tank.
Got me thinking
Thanks for the input. It got me thinking about when I start actually looking for a JAG rearend and what the different choices are to think about. I just thought a JAG IRS was like any other JAG IRS. I guess I was wrong.
Jag Rearend
$150.00 seems like a really good deal to me. And it's my understanding the JAG Rearend center section is a Dana 44. Securing it to the frame and staying in place would be a bigger concern than tearing up the rearend itself, I would think.
Sway Bars?
So did you end up using the sway bar? I've got a Jag Rearend and am gathering info on how to install it. Seems like the Sway Bar really isn't needed.
Neophyte's Bars look good for securing the diff pretty good. I like them.
I'm shopping around for Whitewall Tires (Diamond Back, Coker and Paulsen).
I'm curious if there are any that I'm missing or forgeting about and wondering what kind everyone else prefers and why....like price, performance or what ever your reasons are. Also is MAILORDER the only way to get them...
Jag IRS and your yoke choice
Thanks; I'll be in touch when I get ready. You're right, the Jag rear looks great. Yours looks right at home in the frame. I didn't even notice the 2x4's at first. Real quick question......Are you planning on switching out the universal joint yoke to a Chevy...
Nice Wheels
I've always liked the slotted dish wheels. Looking at those also takes me back to "THE DAYS."
I also like the Jaguar Rearend. I'm thinking of trying that on mine. Any tips or advice?
Thanks. I "sort of" remember reading somewhere that someone was looking for replacement clips that hold the trim ring on. I don't know if he broke them taking off the trim ring or what. I was wondering if there was a certain way to remove the ring without busting the clips or damaging the...
