Just the chop and length of the bed. You've told me before that yours was 5" and his appears to be about that. I want to chop mine less than that. Probably 4" maybe only 3 1/2"......I'm tall so I need as much head room as I can get but I want it to look good and also proportionate. Also would...
You have any measurements for the "Chap from Canada" s truck? Judging by his pics and yours (and the 5" chop measurement you gave me before) I'm wanting to chop mine 4" and have the bed really close to the length of the two of you. Mine will be full fendered also....if the brittle metal can...
I'm building a 50 model and JMCOLORADO is building a 1950 also and his build is NASTY. I love the old Binders. Mine was bought new by my Papaw. It hasn't been tagged since 1963 and dad said it hadn't been started or even moved since 68-69. Mines a mess, but it's all there and a rat for sure...
I need a title for my international and Ohio apparently is really difficult to get titles without the valid title. Anyone have any suggestions?
***Also does anyone know how to trace a title to see the last valid owner or if it's stolen? I got part of a56 international parts truck with a title...
Thanks. It's been a lot of fun. It gets attention anywhere we go...people always stop us and ask for pics and ask if I built it etc. Several people have asked where I got "an I beam axle and leaves that small" can't believe it when I say I made it all. We've still got a lot to do for next...
Well not much has happened on the IH since march apparently. We had our second son April 4th, so between him and our 2yr old little boy plus work I haven't had much time for the old truck. So to give a quick update, things have kinda changed gears on the 50 binder and I'm pretty sure it's gonna...
I feel your pain....my Papaw bought my 1950 International NEW and they won't issue me a title because I don't have anything with his name or the serial number on it. Really sucks!
I saved this pic a while back just for the pedal/drive setup. It looks pretty barebones simple. No "pedals" per say, looks to be just a hand bent solid rod out to a basic chain and gear setup back to a GoKart tire. Hope it gives you some ideas at the least.
I've got a 1950 international and a 1950's Radio Super wagon I'm currently working on for my sons. Both are all natural, un-touched, dark, pitted rust....and they're Beautiful!!! I just want to smooth them up a little, so they're not so rough to the touch and then preserve them the best way...
Do you all out west not use Craigslist??? That's how we sell everything on the east coast. It's like an online listing for anything forsale in whatever city you list as your home area. Craigslist and all the trader/picker pages that you can join on Facebook......I've never sold anything on eBay...
Well it's been a while since I've updated, but really it's just because I forgot to lol. I got the dash and everything out and got the cab off the chassis a month or so ago. Now I'm just waiting for a little extra time and warmer weather to start working on the cab and deciding what route to go...
Awesome trip!!! I always wondered how those two bars worked. If that truck is in as good of shape as it looks, you can prolly part it out and recoup 1/2 the $$$ out here in the "rust belt" the bed would probably bring $500 and $100 for each door, then if someone wanted a cab that's got a good...
