RPU out of a 40's PU cab?

Has anyone pulled off a good looking RPU using a 40's PU cab? I kicked the idea around and it seems to me the body would need sectioned and narrowed quite a bit to look right. If anyone has one or has seen one done post up pics -Thanks Charlie

    Riveting question

The Yard has a cheater pattern maker I've used a few times. It stretches out like chain link fence and gives you a perfect pattern layout every time. Here's a couple more tips: -Definately use clecos they are worth thier weight in gold. They can also be used as buttweld clamps for sheetmetal...

1986-up intakes/heads have the "revised" intake mounting pattern. The four center holes are drilled at a different angle than earlier sbc intakes. All you have to do is elongate those holes a bit and it works like a champ. I've done it a few times with zero problems. Now Vortec heads have a...

    radiator in the rear

I seen one mounted laying flat in the bed with an air scoop underneath and a puller fan. As long as your bleeder or filler cap is the highest point in the system you should be okay.

It's definately not gonna have fenders and I'll be building a 2X3 box tube frame for it shortly. Not sure about the chop yet. I'm not set on the motor yet but I'm thinking of running the old faithful SBC on E-85. I'm trying to find out now if I can even register this thing when it gets done...

    Humble Beginnings

So as I said in my intro, I'm posting pictures of my '46 Ford. I pulled the cab off this morning and did a quickie mock-up to get an idea of what's gonna happen. I haven't decided if I want to use the stock hood or not but that doesn't really matter right now.

    Newb Intro

I work on Army helo's, but I'm not in the military anymore. I'm on the 160th SOAR side of base. And to clarify, the video of the '66 shows the previous owner's setup. I bought it from him as a roller. It needs some attention before I will bring it out to play.

My slick is on youtube. I bought it as a roller with intentions of racing it on down the road. Here it is...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FG4GyK9auv4 The 46 is a stock and untouched original but rough as hell.
