    Hey Guys

I admit I registered there but mostly so I could see all the pics. Definately a different vibe over there. I've posted a few times though. I was surprised how long it takes to get an account there, it's like a juried art show or something...

1936 chevy low cab build 1.5T

The build is coming along great. I like all the beefy gussets and braces, looks mean that way. I always say, if it's worth doin' it's worth over-doin' Kevin

    Mesa AZ main st crusin'

One of these days I'll make it up for that cruise. I'll wait until we are out of the 1-teens though.

Found a bunch of old tin

Yeah, my first project would be making somewhere new to sleep. :( She wants to buy some land as an investment or some silly thing like that. No sense of adventure, I tell you. Actually, I think she is pretty close to breaking.

Found a bunch of old tin

Yeah I know, but I still had to share... Next time I'll have my camera and no baby so I can do some wheelin' dealin'. Well that is when I finally convince the CFO that it's a good project. If nothing else, I'll at least get some pics of everything to make a thread W.A.S.

Found a bunch of old tin

I was visiting my in-laws this weekend and they live in an small old town. One afternoon my son needed a ride in the bus to get to sleep so being the devoted husband and father said I'd drive him around... I drove to the end of town and turned around where there was conveniently a salvage yard...

    baby coors can

All the cool kids are using red bull (or some other high test drink) these days. I remember the old cans, they seemed so think compared to modern cans. If course I wasn't of age at that time but we had them sitting around our family cabin.

    Floor jacks keep dying!

Usually it is the seals that develop leaks. You can search by part # here http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action?sid=PSHx20080114x00001 to see if they have a seal kit. I'm sure they are available for that jack somewhere.

    Hot Wheels bobber truck

I was in Wal Mart with my son the other day and ran across this cool 1:87 scale truck. I'm going to see if I can remove the body and paint it and do something with all that chrome. I may have to live with it being shiny though. Thought some of you might get a kick out of it.

    General Motors merger with Volkswagen

LOL, but I don't know, they both have a pretty high barf factor.

Regulation that YOU cannot weld your own chassis??

One problem with that... unibody. Most modern cars are not built on a frame and a VW bug never has been.

    Santa maria 09

The Chevy with the dice on the doors was just for sale here in AZ a week or two ago. Looked to be done prety well. There is something I really like about the white one, not usually into all the matchy matchy paint stuff but that one works for me.

    Can this steering setup work

I like the look. As long as the chain is tight, I wouldn't worry about a chains durability. I saw some pics of this somewhere and immediately thought that a geardrive setup would look sweet. I suppose with a little thought you could change the speed of your steering if you wanted to.

    Time to show my ignorance.

Does anybody know what years they stopped using the split wheels? lately I have found a lot of "big trucks" for sale like early 40's IH with a five spoke looking wheel, a 41 GMC, and a 46 Chevy. All big wheels duals. So far the 46 is winning since it has a title and is the cheapest. All of them...

    Computer CRASHED;;;;;;;;;;

Best thing I've done... well lately, was switch to a Mac. But yeah, back once in awhile. I'm sure PC's have a way to do it automatically too.

1936 chevy low cab build 1.5T

beastie This is one that makes me want to do a dually build. It just looks mean and that's a good thing. Being so new to all this I still am trying to figure out what to use for a base and a donor if I need to. I've seen others with the later size wheels and it just doesn't have the same...

    Carburetors are Outlawed-New Law

Lets hope that is exagerated. Otherwise Stromberg will have to find a way to cleverly disguise a TBI into their housing. Boy there is so many ways to make fun of rediculious laws like that, Imagine all the new green jobs that will be created, The change we need, Finding a TBI in a junkyard will...

    Time to show my ignorance.

I wasn't planning on using the the RV cab to make a rat rod. I was thinking of it for the engine/trans, seats, brakes, rear axle, wheels, and possibly the steering column and related stuff. I'd think I could sell the front clip for a decent amount. They said the camper section needs work so...

    Time to show my ignorance.

Not exactly what I was thinking... but we can roll with it. Now if you'd have made that a flatbed we'd be in business. ;)
